Seremban Seafood Village 芙蓉烧蟹海鲜村 @ Seremban

Seremban is located in Negeri Sembilan. One of its most famous delicacies in this state is the Seremban Baked Crab (芙蓉烧蟹). It was an impromptu foodie trip Seremban with two of Ph.D buddies. We reached around 930pm, because we were lost for 30 mins due to GOOGLE MAPS ERROR taking us to other restaurants.

Instead of ordering white rice, we ordered seafood fried rice (海鲜炒饭), fried mantis shrimp  (炸虾姑) and sambal belacan kangkung (马来风光空心菜). To our disappointment, the dishes were only so-so, moderate to our taste.

Luckily the baked crab was no disappointment. It was quite different and surprising to our taste because our impression of the baked crab would be burned by fire, giving a toast smell and taste. Instead of this, what we got was a marinated crab baked nicely under slow fire. The taste was refreshing but not too salty. The baked crab is highly recommended, however, other side dishes are just moderate.
